A Lizard and an Aloinopsis, Part II

Here's Part I in case you missed the beginning of this petite reptilian saga--
http://mylifeamongthelithops.blogspot.com/2012/09/a-lizard-and-aloinopsis.html

It was stormy this afternoon, so the pair of Aloinopsis (Aloinopses? Aloinopsises??) did not go out. Guess who showed up at the door?  I'll give you 2 guesses, but you'll only need one....

Bill the Lizard (or possibly Billette)

The poor thing was pining for his favorite succulent perch. He was there for quite some time....

He hadn't shown up for a few days, so I thought he had issues with his new web-celebrity status. Apparently, he was just on a short break, so the Aloinopsis will go right back out tomorrow. Sorry I let you down, Bill!

  1. That's very cute!! Billy is such a special lizard. I wonder if it thinks that the Aloinopsis is a lizard as well that has grown legs and can move inside and outside? Hehe.

    1. You know, you may be onto something. The Aloinopsis has smooth parts, bumpy parts, kind of like a lizard. It's nice and warm. Probably seems like a good snuggle-partner to a small lizard!

  2. It really looks like Bill (Billette) is yearning for the Aloinopsis!! Do the leaves exude any kind of enticing substance or aroma? Perhaps a kind of lizard perfume? Gail

    1. You have also brought up the issue, has this lizard really bonded with this Aloinopsis? I don't think there's enough research out there on either species to know....
