  2. How are you growing your baby toes? Indoors or outside? And in what soil? I've struggled mightily. I am growing indoors in a cactus soil plus perlite. I water so slightly, using a spray bottle, about weekly and they seem to either split or shrivel. Argh

  3. Although I live on a tropical sand dune, I grow my Babytoes indoors. I use cactus soil mixed with local sand. I spray them every other day or so and water once a week, and fertilize with cactus fertilizer only once a month, weakly. They are soooo sensitive, something they don't like may be well out of your control.

  4. I am growing my indoors next to a south east facing window so they get a fair amount of sun. This is my first experiment with them. They either seem to collapse as though they are dying of thirst or explode. I'm growing them in a very little amount of cactus soil and some gravel so there is excellent drainage. They seem to just be completely too sensitive to any amount of water. I have been misting them probably every few days. And this will go on for a while and then suddenly they'll just collapse.
