  2. Lovely! I'm now quite intrigued by Fenestraria and Frithia and have been looking around for some - but oddly enough, they're not easy to come by in South Africa! It seems I'll have to get some seeds from uh... *Sweden*. The truth is stranger than fiction. 8-o

    1. That is weird. I wonder why they're not available in their native land? Is it that they are protected, or just not considered to be much fun to grow?? Could you become the first person to grow and sell them in S. Africa??

    2. The mesembs in general are not that readily available here due to a limited market, you basically start off with a few general available stuff and then you go into seeds.
Padda, if you are not in a hurry, I have a few seedlings growing.

  6. Lithopsland,
I don't have a secret. But in the wild, Fenestraria live close to the beach, as do I. So maybe it's the sea breeze? They also love acidified water, we have alkaline water here, so I add 9 drops of rice vinegar to each liter.
