Radical Mesemb Surgery: The Results
The surgery on my Gibbaeum mysterioso was successful. I now have a happy, thriving little unidentified succulent:

Great job with the surgery work Marla & it's amazing how the Fenestraria is always blooming. Great one to paint. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the surgery technique is a good idea with plants that have a serious rot problem with lower leaves, or that have "stacked" like this Gibbaeum. It's drastic, but if it saves the plant, I'll do it! And yes, Fenestraria would make a great subject. Hope to see one in your new blog soon!
